Ecology

CSa undertake a broad spectrum of ecological survey and assessment work within a wide range of project sectors. From habitat to protected species surveys, CSa has the expertise to identify and address the ecological issues and the people to communicate our advice clearly and effectively.

Our ecologists hold Natural England and Countryside Council for Wales licences covering survey work for bats, great crested newts, dormice, crayfish and other species. We also have considerable experience of Defra development licences for European protected species, badger licensing and other non-licensable mitigation work, such as reptile translocations. CSa is involved at all stages, from initial assessment through to mitigation, implementation and monitoring.

CSa maintains a close working relationship with ecological consultees across the country. This enables us to resolve conflicts, unlock potential constraints and find consensus on an appropriate way forward.
