Ecology

CSa’s team of ecologists offer a broad range of skills covering specialism’s from bats to botany. These individual skills are combined with an understanding of development and planning which allows us to quickly spot the issues, identify the requirements and resolve the constraints.

Our ecological input to projects may be very modest or very involved. One of our senior team is always on hand to discuss matters informally and to offer initial thoughts. We are happy to adapt our standard approaches to suit client needs or specific situations, but to see some of the typical survey and assessment approaches follow the links below:

Protected species surveys are also a major component of our work. Bats, great crested newts and other European Protected Species (EPS) can be critical issues. We have licensed and experienced ecologists who can complete the necessary surveys, provide sensible advice and lead you through the mitigation and/or licensing process, as required. See the links below for more information:

Our botanists are also on hand to help assess your land and habitats. You may need our help to complete a detailed botanical assessment, to help you develop a wildflower meadow, to draw up a management plan or to identify invasive plants. Whatever the issue, one of our team will be happy to assist
