Ecological Assessments

At CSa we recognise that ecological assessments can be required for a wide range of different purposes and a ‘one size fits all’ approach is not appropriate.

Assessments may be needed to inform site purchase proposals, to support land promotion or for submission with a planning application. An ecological assessment may also be needed as part of an environmental audit, to understand potential legal constraints or to inform land management decisions. In each case, a different survey or reporting style may be needed. We try to ascertain our client’s needs at the outset and we can also use our own experience to help determine the most appropriate approach.

Based on our client’s needs and best practice methodologies, CSa have developed the following standard survey approaches:

Where these standard assessment approaches not appropriate, we will tailor our survey and reporting to suit.

All of our ecological assessments will provide a clear picture of our findings and comprehensive, sensible advice regarding any constraints or opportunities.
