Ecological Walkover

An Ecological Walkover will scope potential ecological issues on relatively small, simple sites.

Our standard Ecological Walkover approach includes:

  • Site survey visit (Phase 1 level) to record habitat types and to assess the potential for protected or notable species
  • A basic biological records search encompassing the local records centre and free on-line sources
  • A short report including simple site description, brief evaluation of ecological features and a discussion regarding the pertinent issues, with further survey recommendations identified.
  • No habitats plan is provided with this approach and this short report format is not appropriate for large or complex sites. This approach may or may not be adequate to support a planning application, depending on the site.
