CSa Input: Masterplanners, Landscape Architects, Agricultural Land Classification, Expert Witness and co-ordination of the Environmental Statement
Date: 2007
Client: Taylor Wimpey
CSa has had a long involvement with the Homelands Farm site, dating back to its promotion through the review of the Tewkesbury Local Plan in 2001. Following a favourable recommendation by the Local Plan Inspector, an outline planning application for 450 dwellings was submitted in 2007. CSa were responsible for masterplanning the site; preparing the Design and Access Statement; undertaking the landscape and visual assessment; and co-ordinating the ES. The layout and detailing called for particular sensitivity given the sites location adjacent to the AONB. The application was refused and subsequently granted planning permission on appeal. CSa provided expert evidence to the Inquiry on landscape and design issues.
