Laing Homes had been refused planning permission for the redevelopment of a brownfield site, for 51 apartments, on the edge of Windsor. To support the planning application, CSa advised on the form of the layout and provided a townscape appraisal and detailed landscape scheme to support the planning application. The scheme was refused planning permission and subsequently taken to appeal in December 2005. Of the nine reasons for refusal, CSa provided evidence on townscape matters, open space and landscaping. The appeal was successful and costs awarded against the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
