Aidan established ecological services at CSA in 2002. He has over 25 years’ professional experience in consultancy, education and research. Aidan specialises in protected species work, Ecological Impact Assessment and Habitat Regulations Assessment. He has extensive experience of licensing for bats, badgers, great crested newts and dormice.

With an in depth understanding of ecology in the context of enabling development, Aidan is now increasingly focused on guiding and developing Biodiversity Net Gain solutions, helping clients navigate policy and legal expectations in this dynamic area. Typically working with wider consultant teams on large residential and mixed use development, Aidan also co-ordinates CSA’s multi-disciplinary inputs and is an established expert witness.
