Jamie established CSA’s Hertfordshire ecology team in 2010, with previous professional experience in consultancy, conservation and research. He is one of around 200 Chartered Ecologists registered in the UK, and has a broad experience of Ecological Impact Assessment and Habitats Regulations Assessment, designing and securing mitigation across the Midlands and Eastern England.

Jamie has particular interest in the habitats and vegetation of lowland England, and drives CSA’s engagement with the Biodiversity Net Gain agenda. He has a wealth of knowledge in protected species survey and mitigation, holding Natural England survey licences for bats, great crested newt, rare reptiles, dormouse and barn owl. Jamie works closely with CSA’s in-house landscape and urban design team to deliver high quality advice and input, primarily on residential and mixed-use developments, and provides expert witness services.
