Experienced Ecologist (Hertfordshire)

We are recruiting for an experienced Ecologist/Senior Ecologist to join our team in Ashwell, near Baldock.

You will be joining a busy team of ecologists within our mixed disciplinary head office that also includes landscape architects and urban designers. Excellent training opportunities will be provided, both in-house and externally, tailored to your career development.

You will prepare, input to and/or oversee PEAs, EcIAs, HRAs and BNG Assessments, depending on experience. This work will span a broad range of projects across the eastern side of the country and will not be restricted to a single, large scheme.

  • practical experience of conservation/field survey work
  • a first or upper second class degree in a relevant ecology/biology based subject
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • a high level of organisation, with the ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • a willingness to undertake 2-3 night time surveys per week during peak periods, where necessary
  • at least one protected species survey licence and strong developing field skills
  • membership of CIEEM (qualifying level or above)
  • a full driving licence and access to your own car for business use

This role will come with an attractive salary (negotiable based on experience) and benefits (including overtime pay arrangements, pension, bonus).
