Following the production of an archaeological desk-based assessment for a proposed residential scheme, a geophysical survey and trial trenching identified an enclosure and several other features of possible archaeological origin.
Further to the imposition of a planning condition requiring further archaeological work, negotiations were carried out with the County Council Archaeologist and it was agreed that no further archaeological work was required, resulting in the withdrawal of the planning condition.
